Recently picked up a used M2 Macbook Pro, dirt cheap (works fine too!)

Anyhow, figured I might try some software that I can only run on that. What’s out there - that’s good / interesting, that is? And if there are any truly outstanding effects that are also Mac only, do feel free to suggest those too. :tu:

Logic has a bunch of Mac-only FX and instruments and stuff.

Check out Drambo. I have it on my iPad, but I think it’s also available on macs with M processors.
Drambo is a fantastic modular groovebox with a lot of free patches available on patchstorage.com. Patches can be anything from synths, drum machines, effects, sequencers…

On iPad it works both as a plugin and as an auv3 plugin, not sure about macos

Yeah Auv3's load in any host that supports them. So for example Logic and Ableton they work for me. however they work better in Logic as there is resizing, whereas Ableton has no resizing. Cheap way to get some cool stuff fo rhte ones that support both platforms, you buy on ipad and then download from mac app store.

The separate plugins are cross-platform, but the KORG Gadget DAW itself is available on macOS.

As a Mac user, I avoid anything that is Mac only. Just as I avoided anything that was Windows only when I was a Windows user. The reason why should have made itself apparent.
THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

I use plugins that am a Mac because they are for the rest of us, just work, and make me think different.

Drambo is amazing, also Zeeon and Sunrizer are great synths from the same developer.

Apart from in Logic some au3s seem to be absurdly big or too small in other au3 hosts

Yeah I don't know why a DAW would add support but not have resizing. If Logic can do it why can't Ableton. There are other annoyances too like they never respond to mouse/trackpad scroll on parameters.
