I plan on Vibe Coding some plugins testing some ideas I have and share the process with anyone interested and track my progress.
I'm utilizing JUCE for the framework, Xcode to Export the VST3, Cursor to piece together the synth with dsp code and even to gather github open source stuff to implement in it, and finally I'm using GTP for the AI teaching and generating a bit for NOW, though Cursor too has this built in and I plan to test Claude as well so I can customize, tweak and have full control on any ideas, even if beyond JUCE framework. This sounds like a powerful combination for long term things and not the more simple direct AI to vst3 offerings they have available. I've already exported a test vst3 and standalone. I'm now going to add the basic synth stuff next.
I'm actually planning on testing Cursor and Windsurf to see which ones gel better with my workflow. Windsurf seems to be more autonomous perhaps and can do research for me in open source dsp code to add into the project. Will see. Thinking of having two synths be compiled, one in windsurf and the other Cursor.

Bro, vibe code your website design, first.
Ok, feel free to put me on ignore / block folks. Had to be said.

Ambitious. Let us know how it turns out
For what it’s worth, I tried using AI to generate a very simple VST plugin with Reaktor, HISE, or Pure Data the last two days, but had no luck so far. All the AI solutions failed miserably, including Claude. They pointed me to non-existent menu items, pushed me into completely wrong noodle setups, and so on.
AI solutions are good at code, but lousy at explaining visual workflows. And not knowing much about Reaktor or VST instrument internals didn’t help either. Maybe I should try JUCE, since it’s more code-focused, or better just simply read up on it myself.

What's wrong with my site? But that's a good point. I'll look into that. I'm sure there are errors here and there.
I am UNASHAMEDLY excited and eager to vibe code all day long

Juce seems to be going okay. I tell cursor what I want and it just works. I'm eager to really fine tune things though once i have the general layout. I'm very picky about just every conceivable variable. I'm likely going to have different modules for each delay, verb, unison algorhtym, etc.Tiles wrote: Wed May 06, 2026 4:01 pm Ambitious. look at this hideous beauty, pass 3 believe it or not. It just works lol, FAST.
Im not sure how that reaktor method would work? Can reaktor export vst3?
Diffinetely consider JUCE, but I'm also looking for a way not to be limited by that too, if possible, which is the claude and cursor's job.

Cool, and Nope, you need the Reaktor player then. No VST3 export. I was just toying around with an idea

Alright, so I ran out of free time with both Cursor and Claude, so for me to progress, I need to pay money for these tools. I'm just trying to figure out which of them to go for.

NOTES FOR TOMORROW ADD REVERSE DELAY VERB KNOBS, DIFFERENT GLIDE TYPE LIKE GLISS, BEND, RATE AND HAVE A MINI MSEG CURVE TO TWEAK THE CURVE OF THE GLIDE SO I CAN MAKE IT SNAPPY, HAVE A DEDICATED VIBRATO SECTION WITH DELAY OF VIBRATO DEPTH, BE ABLE TO IMPORT WAVETABLES AND STORE THEM AND HAVE A TRANCE GATE THAT IS VERY SNAPPY, I WANT TO CONTROL THE IMPULSE, ATTACK VERY FINE AT EACH START AND HAVE THE GATE LOOK LIKE THE COLORFUL MSEG WITH AND SIMILAR CONTROLS....
OH, AND I ALSO WANT TO DIAL END ON THE CURVES OF THE FILTER AND AMP LITUDE EMVELOPS TO BE SNAPPY, I WANT VERY FINE TUNED CONTROL OF THE DECAY AT LENGTH'S SUB 100 MS WITH EVEN VARIOUS TOGGLEABLE METHODS I CAN TOGLE BETWEEN SO I CAN HAVE FILTER ENVELOPES AS TIGHT AS SPIRES, I ALSO WANT TO MIMIC SYLENTHS CRISP LFO'S THAT IS QUITE AMAZING SO LOOK INTO VARIOUS LFO DEPTH RATE SHAPE IMPLEMENTATION STEPS, HOW DID SYLENTH ACHEIEVE THAT?

That said, this is a blast, first day into this and went 14 hours straight and about half way done with all the modules i want and just fine tuning. Surprised I didn't do something like this sooner. An incredible sounding synth, im happy with atleast, is unfolding effortlessly as long as you know keenly what you are after, you will get it and then some, it's literally just math.
Oddly enough, i'm having quite a time with preset browser with juce. Anyone with any advice on this?

Make your own plug
You will see a synth is nothing but an idea
There is no vibe coding vs coding, there are only idea explorers.
