They've sent out an email saying there's a livestream on the 11th. Whether that means the product gets released at the same time is unclear.

This suggests it won't be: "Join music producer Adam Fielding and product manager Mattias Häggström Gerdt for a live walkthrough of Reason 14 and a first look at what’s coming."

I can say with nigh certainty that whoever might have something to say I'd be interested in hearing (and listening to) will be unable to make quite as bafflingly dumb a grimace.
So these thumbnails imo serve a purpose indeed; just perhaps not quite the way that the Youtube-folks intend it.
