Heck yeah! ARmk2 is such an awesome drum machine. I only recently started loading samples in mine and it’s opened a lot of new territory for me. It took me a lot longer to find my with with AnalogRytm than with OT and A4 but I’m glad I stuck with it!

wanted to have a few sessions with this before replying.Shabdahbriah wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2026 10:03 pmOh cool.I've been giving this one some thought as an in-the-case unit, though I really r.e.a.l.l.y don't need another sequencer... I do like the eight drum trigger buttons and dedicated outputs though, which can of course be used to trigger anything.
my only "complaint" is knob sensitivity (oo er missus) eg trying to reduce 33 to 30 steps, if i use the knob, it flies past the required step and i have to tweak it a few times to land. you can do it just by pressing the 30tj pad, so no biggy, but i didn't just want a praise filled post
which you don't need, im sure you've seen more cool stuff it can do, than i have tried, but those i have, work as expected and are as the videos say, fairly easy to navigate, and the manual is pretty good for getting you there

Cool
Thanks for that, and glad you are finding it useful.

I just looked at the kickstarter for the GR-2. Looks cool although I don’t like the idea of tying up more money for something in the future right now.

i should say, as many folk don't notice, but it's only 2 channel for the cv sequencer, with 2 midi channels too.Shabdahbriah wrote: Wed May 06, 2026 10:56 pm CoolThanks for that, and glad you are finding it useful.

I do want to hear more Plexiphon demos but I think I've talked myself out of it. It's in a similar ballpark to things like Noise Engineering Desmodus, Valhalla Supermassive and Phonolyth Cascade... and it got me playing with Cascade and realizing just how underrated it is (by myself as well). To make room for Plexiphon the most obvious thing to let go of would be Mimeophon, but... Mimeophon is the perfect delay for me, and sounds gorgeous when self-oscillating.
Really eager to hear Xaoc Budapeszt in action though.a If it's fantastic enough I may have to work out how to make space. Not for this year, but next -- I'm sticking to my gear pledge. So far, my experiments with patching a pair of comb filters with various feedback stuff in software modular haven't been great, but I expect they got better results than this if they wanted to make a product out of it.

I'm looking forward to the Plexiphon videos. I think it's great they showed it with non-nuss modules (and a new 1u buss?).
Still, I'd be surprised if there's no nuss special features.
And no way I'd part with Mimeophon. Plexiphon and Mimeophon must be a great pairing.
Right now the only thing the could push me over the buy gear edge in 2026 is potentially Elektron's Outbox 8. One video says possibly sequencing CV from Elektron boxes. If that includes Syntakt, I'm all in.

A TC Electronics Brainwaves Pitch Shifter would make a great off-board effect for my eurorack synth. The stomp switch doubles as a mash button for a whammy bar effect. It should make an excellent companion for the Behringer Halos module, among others.
Though, first things first. I'm nearly finished the construction of a DIY stomp box adapter. The circuit relatively simple on paper gets tricky when building double-decker electronic boards, (like playing Spock's 3D chess). And as I'm a bit of cheapskate and though I've developed a rather elegant form of rat's nesting my DIY units are never really a first time working sure thing. fingers crossed

Yeah, I think it’s an amazing synth. The current firmware took it to a whole new level AFAIC with the new arps and whiplash mode. The new poly chaining feature is also a nice addition for others, but 5 voices is plenty for the way I plan to use it. If I didn’t already have a Prophet 6 and Rev2, I’d probably park a Take 5 right next to the TEO-5.

As you may know, I'm a big fan of BBDs... As soon as I saw Fairfield's Placeholder BBD based reverb pedal, I knew I had to try it.
