Might it be worth linking a video of the original theme?

European shows they might not be known to other areas, the language barrier and vice versa.
A UK classic show might have only been broadcast in that region, etc.

Seinfeld here. Right now I'm trying to learn the bass riff + embellishments, but it's way above my skill level (and, as we all know, it was actually played on keyboard). It's fun trying anyway. The idea is to make a straght copy first, then warp it somehow.

Does it have to be a broadcast TV show, or can it be something that was only available on cable/satellite? Also, how old does the show have to be?

Surely it's more fun if it's a reasonably well-known show, but with participants from different cultures that's not always going to be the case.

Depends on how old you are, and what you consider your youth.

Generally, I'd say just follow Hellfog's theme description in the submission thread as you understand it, and defend your position if challenged (which is not likely).

Does not really matter where, how and how old the show is produced, just link to youtube or something for reference.
