I hope Native Instruments survives . I am a customer and a user of there products. But this Komplete 26 just seems to be a bad move .

MPC has been OK under InMusic, I cant complain and their VSTs are actually very good. Better than going bust...All that NI on MPC stuff worked out for them!
X32 Desk, i9 PC, S88MK3, S1, BWS, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6 Pro3, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone II, OP1-F, OPXY, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Yeah but if they already have MPC are they really going to keep supporting its main competitor?

Plus inmusic is also brands like Air who are terrible

The stand alone machine was always dead as it was, AKAI know how to built stuff with batteries and speakers...it may be in safer hands...

I disagree on Air, the recent stuff that runs on MPC and as a VST has been pretty good- Jura, OPx-4..even the Mini D was good (considering they were all 29 bucks) - Hype and Fabric were also pretty good and I like the fx a lot...air delay pro, sprite, flavour, ether etc...and again, all pocket money prices...

I'm still pissed off at them for letting great plugins like Loom, Vacuum Pro and XPand die on the vine

That's it, folks. Time to move on.

What, like ending support for existing hardware? That would be…business as usual. Also arguably has a better track record here.

Not good news for things like Reaktor though, which will probably wind up on life support and Inmusic doesn’t even try to sell them off to a more willing buyer.

I don't know. Maybe they can do good. They treat Akai pretty damn well, and just like NI they are both a combo of hard and software.

Maybe it will be a good thing but be prepared that they might change the products to 90days re-activation periods like they did put in their other products and random super sales that will kill the second hand market unless you are willing to give your software away.
Air and Inmusic is the same company so it will be interesting to see what will happen in the near future.

I do hope that they won't do the same that they did with 2getheraudio OPZilla after they bought up that company.

I haven't bought Komplete update in years, and the 299 euros price tag + this news isn't helping, lol.

Since I only use Kontakt out of the Komplete package now, I might settle for the Kontakt Player if I need to use libraries that need new versions. I've been using Falcon for my small collection of custom instruments, so I don't need the full version of Kontakt.

inMusic Software Center just updated on my Big Sur system and won't run because it now needs Monterey as a minimum.

Not a good sign for Mac users if they push NI and the other brands into using it.
