The MIDI Learn Seems to work. I'm using a Cheap fader Controller. For initial update it needs some more options however, the basic control is there, faders buttons etc. For those use too loop building you will have to learn to play the whole song NOT parts as has been stated which is great, improve your musianship. Looking forward to committing, been a while.

I've been demoing the GCS Model 8 beta for a day or two. I expected to enjoy it, didn't expect to love it. The gui is a little rough-around-the-edges but it has really excellent features and workflows along with the expected level of oddness (plugin windows are locked to fully displaying on the screen, for example--you can't drag sections of them offscreen and just leave just a corner of the window at the bottom left or right corner of your display because you can't drag any part of them out of the window frame).
So, setting aside the expected level of subtle functionality surprises implied by "small project" and "beta", it's really exceptionally good.
I haven't tried Tape 16 DAW yet. Is it limited to 16 tracks? GCS offers a choice of 8, 16, or 24 per project.
