I made a Simmons SDSV and a Yamaha CS-80 emulation for VST3/AU and I'm willing to give it away for free for those who love to make a decent Youtube review on their channel. More info: https://www.morphoice.com/plugins

Unstable sounds really good. Is it code signed on mac os yet so it can be installed normally?

I remember hearing about it here:

Yet from your website:

"Inspired by the pinnacle of analog synthesizers, the mighty Yamaha CS-80, UNSTABLE is in no way intended to be a CS-80 emulator but still probably closer to the real hardware than anything out there".

So a contradictory statement and a bold one at that. So were these plugins vibe coded by A.I. or hand coded or Flowstone/Synth Edit or?

Better to offer it up to users, good will and word spreads here fast at KVR.

Hise. If AI was involved, it was probably not to any great degree because AI doesn't work well with Hise.

Does Hexadrum offer individual outputs for the drums?

I hate buying plugins without a demo version but might make an exception in your case, because of how good Unstable is. Can it sound like this?

I see, do Hise plugins have a signature that identifies them such as .sem files from SynthEdit?

All I know is I'm seeing a flood of plugins from new "developers" so I have to wonder if A.I. is being used to create them. I worry that bugs will be hard to fix if one doesn't know how to code and relies entirely on A.I. for development.

Anyway the statement that this CS80 emulation which is "in no way intended to be a CS-80 emulator" and is "probably closer to the real hardware than anything out there" is a pretty bold one.

I haven't tried Unstable yet but I find it hard to believe that it's better than the other alternatives. To be honest I view the CS80 as one of the most over rated synths in history which achieved cult status more for it's rarity and current asking price than it's sound.

Not that I'm aware of, plus Hise plugins don't deserve any stigma for being such. Hise is an offshoot of Juce.

Some of the plugins I use the most are Juce, such as Harmony Bloom and the DSP563XX stuff, and they're as stable and bug-free as anything else. It's true that mistakes can be made but Hise significantly reduces the chance of that happening. It's even easier to use than Reaktor.

IMO, it's not as good as The Eighty and Model 77 but it's a close 3rd, and it's easier to program than either of them. It's good for those shiny, crystalline Vangelis sounds, not so much for the warm Toto sounds.

Yes but Juce and Hise are different than vibe coding no? Don't they both require at least some coding skills?

On the other hand:

"Vibe coding" is a software development approach where AI generates code based on natural language prompts, shifting the focus from writing code line-by-line to guiding an AI assistant. Coined by Andrej Karpathy in early 2025, it involves describing desired outcomes, letting AI handle technical implementation, and iterating based on the "vibes" of the result"

(Ironically that's an A.I. generated response  )

Those are the plugins I worry about when it comes to stability. The "developer" (in quotation marks to distinguish them from developers who have actually put the work in to learn coding) is totally reliant on A.I. to fix bugs.

No coding skills required but you're correct, they're much different from vibe coding. He also used Faust.

I have the drum machine beta from the org GS post, it was a bit funky to get it working, it's okay imo. I doubt I would pay $40 for it myself. ymmv

Thanks! Too bad, I had high hopes after Unstable.
