hi all,

the price is very tempting, it got several modules, randomizer etc. seems a pretty great plugin to give some inspiration, mangling etc. does anyone have it and how you like it?

It's great in a live context for using it for punch in effects e.g. tape stop/vinyl spinbacks etc
For me it's the spiritual successor to Sugarbytes Artillery

IMO it's more versatile and the FX are better and slightly deeper than Transit 2's. Obviously Transit is a little quicker at building sweeps (no surprise there). There's some overlap for sure, but if I could only have one it would probably be HexFX because IMO it's more user friendly than Transit for everything outside of sweep building. Though I might also give Transit a slight edge as a mangler, if that's your thing

It's been a long time since I touched Looperator... that one is definitely its own thing. Great at managing longer phrases, but that doesn't really fit regularly into what I do. I don't see much overlap with HexFX.

I like HexFX as a better, more modern version of the famous XLN RC-20. The FX units are mostly very good, it's easy to configure, and has a logical, easy-to-use LFO and Macro system. Perfect for lo-fi'ing, sweetening, can do a bit of mangling as well. Lots to like and I'm a fan. I usually reach for it when I'm trying to enhance a signal that I already like, but don't want to wreck completely. Infiltrator is my go-to mangling device.

For me it didn’t work, unable to assign or edit macros. They don’t know why. Demo if possible.

That's a hefty claim, you've made me actually want to try HexFX now. I kind of wish I'd jumped on it for BF...

I think the sound quality is there which is the main thing when it comes to multifx.

A lot of multifx overwhelm you with quantity. Hexfx sounds very good.

I think the RC20 comparison is a good one but with a lot more options and less fixed in nature.

I liked it, if not for the bugs. Their support didn’t seem particularly knowledgeable either I’m afraid. Tempted to buy it anyway, anticipating a new computer at some point.

Serato Hex is the best multi-effect for live use I've found (and I've used a lot) - BUT it does have some bugs and the support from Serato is minimal. I've had effects that continue to be present even when at 0%.

What other bugs have y'all encountered? I'm thinking of using it just as a plain old multi-fx plugin, and maybe even a channel strip. No live usage. Is it stable enough for those purposes?
