I didn't find a thread on this plugin. Shortly after acquiring Sitral, I got the Amplified Instrument Processor (with some extra help from Dan K., thanks Dan!!) a couple weeks ago.
As someone who typically prefers surgical tools with modern interfaces, this one has surprisingly wormed its way into a several projects. Like Sitral, it's not my favorite UI but it's definitely usable. However, the sound moulding capability and overall sonic quality is incredible. I have nothing else like it.
I'm currently using it on tracks and instrument busses after cleanup EQ and basic clean compression. It's like an analog sledgehammer that can beat the analog into sharp, digital sounding tracks. Not in a subtle way, but more like punishing a digital signal into sounding like it came out of a pre-digital studio. In that context, it's utterly amazing - great compressor, nice broad eq with some extra 'analoging' options in the back panel, and the Proprietary Signal Processing Module add some really nice saturation options. My only complaint is that I generally hit the input hard, which unfortunately renders the Frequency Dependent Gain Reduction unusable - wish this module had an input trim with an automatic gain compensated output so I could lower the input only into this section and make it more gentle. But even with out that, it's still an incredible unit.
So belated shout out to Dan K for building such an incredible, useful tool. Sorry I'm so late to party on this one, but I'm here for it now!!
In KVR parlance, "this plug in is amazing!'. Is anyone else using it? What for?

+ 1 Great developer
*You do need to kind of pay attention with this developer in regard to new releases as they
tend to be generous with intro pricing imo. Prices can increase significantly at release.

+1 here as well. their plugins all have this "organic" character and a well designed parameter set driven by actual experience vs. some "vibe-coded" metoo whatever. The AIP has been a great fit for EG tracks and more productive than any emulation of a vintage channel strip. ofc jmho, ymmv.
their New Monday blog is a great read, highly recommended.
