A fun exercise: I played a bunch of guitar without a metronome or rhythmic backing track and built a song around the guitar parts. The drums were played after the guitar was recorded (using a midi keyboard and cleaned up by ear). The synth bass was done by hand using the midi drums as a starting point for timing. The lyrics are rhyming nonsense.

I think the guitar is just run through Sound Toys Decapitator with drive being automated throughout the song. The delay on the vocal is Sinevibes Integer. The drums are Triaz and Superior Drummer.
Synth bass is Diva.

I really enjoyed listening to this. It is totally off the wall. Must have been a lot of fun to do. You kind of remind me of Geddy Lee vocally. Assuming that's you.

There's definitely a magical quality of its own to playing without a click - something I haven't done myself in ages aside from ambient droning. :D

Fun piece.

Very energetic and I also appreciate playing music without a click. I guess that is considered counter culture these days.
