Looks interesting but why a mono synth? I would have thought this sort of architecture would be better suited to complex drones and pads etc

disagree, that`s perfect as a mono synth ! AND: you have to start somewhere.
I would guess it becomes way more workloady to setup good presets with that type of engine vs. poly- usages. Which leads again to: "you have to start somewhere"
Q: @mush
i guess this synth does not send the modulations out as midi CCs ?
if not,....i see "there" some fun to be had

I made sure to include that link in my original post. It’s in the last paragraph, just above the embedded video.Funky40 wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 5:58 pm and:

That works great for a first time reader.
But days later to get a quick link without reading the post again ?.....different context

You make a valid point, so I edited the first post and put the website link in bold lettering, and in the opening sentence.Funky40 wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 11:53 pmahh, now i see it. @Funky40:
I'll note that down for a rainy day.
The poly that I am working on is additive (I think I've redone it 4 times already more or less from scratch, but it is getting nicer each time - but I have no expected release date on that one)...
That said, I got some requests the other day from a guy that mentioned that he uses Curves & Membranes together with a round robin macro in Ableton live to run 6 instances as a six voice polyphonic synth. So, there are always workarounds...

Curves & Membranes would be a bag full of compromises if it was polyphonic. I think its beauty lies in it not trying to be anything it is not - and that the visuals and sound is so tightly joined together. I have prototypes of it as a polyphonic synth, but it is not feeling great to me, so they will never leave my dev machine.aMUSEd wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 5:24 pm Looks interesting but why a mono synth? might sound kinda strange, but:
- does this plugin has presets ?
- where can i save my sound ? where can i load a new sound ?
- i can`t find anything. I`m not seeing anything ( i did not search for a manual, sorry)

I purposely left the presets out... ...but it is the number one request I get at the moment - so I have a simple and a bit quirky preset system coming in a few days (got it working almost the way I want yesterday, so today is about finetuning it, and hopefully testing it on various machines - so I hope to get it out by the weekend together with smaller updates to all the plugins).Funky40 wrote: Tue May 12, 2026 11:38 pm might sound kinda strange, but:

Is it possible to use host automation to control the Wave Preset selection? Normally, I'd look for MIDI CC control but on a synth like this I think it's probably not that productive as there probably aren't many places where it makes more sense than host automation. Except for the preset selection as I can see a use-case for using that as a performance control and attaching it to the mod wheel or expression pedal – which I could do via the DAW...but that's the one parameter or set of parameters I can't find in the automation list.
The other option would be to do something like Ohmforce's old Melohman system of mapping the presets to either very low or very high MIDI keys so they can be triggered from the keyboard.
Otherwise, nice job, fun to play. A bit like getting Wiggle back after that died, but with better waveform/bezier controls than Wiggle had.

Hi! Thanks for the idea. It is one of those I haven't thought about myself, which is always extra fun! I won't promise anything, but I will look into it.Gamma-UT wrote: Wed May 13, 2026 5:41 pm Is it possible to use host automation to control the Wave Preset selection? Presetchange as host automation sounds weird. Midi has a preset change command which is rarely implemented and would do it for that use case…

It is not really presets as a sample of all synth settings, but wave presets that you set and can sequence stepping or morphing between. If they were mapped to a CC or a controller it could be either a sweeping stepping between the 8 steps or morphing between them. So it makes a lot of sense in this context.Tj Shredder wrote: Thu May 14, 2026 5:37 am Presetchange as host automation sounds weird.
