Hey everyone,

I just released a new plugin: MultiLayerEQ, via my fairly new company Elektra Magika. After working as a plugin developer at the Vienna Symphonic Library for around 3 years, I decided to develop a few of my own ideas, this one being the second release this year.

This one started as an experiment around making an EQ with a special feature, which I always were in need of myself when mixing.

The idea is pretty simple: you set up a base band, and then create “layers” that follow it at interval offsets. So you can boost/cut in a way that also reinforces (or controls) harmonics at the same time. You can, for example, more easily cut a frequency and its octave, one knob controls two bands at the same time and you can listen to it in real time.

Some basics:
  • Interval-based band layering (this is the main thing)
  • 24 interval options per band (up & down)
  • Clean and straightforward UI (no menus or hidden stuff)
  • Light on CPU
  • IIR, zero additional latency, so it’s fine for tracking too
Formats: VST / AU / AAX
OS: macOS + Windows
Intro Price: 16.99€

Have a look at it here:

There’s a demo if you want to try it out for 14 days. No sign up required!

Would be really interested to hear how people end up using it—especially if you find workflows I didn’t think of.

For anybody who downloaded the trail or bought the plugin, 1.0.1 is out now, which fixed and issue when creating mono channels in several DAWs. Just redownload the installer, the plugin should then show 1.0.1 in the top right corner instead of 1.0.0.

Regards,
Ari
