These are the ones I've read! Sorry for the ignorant generalisation.andy-cytomic wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 5:06 am I have published technical papers outlining how to use trapezoidal integration to solve various linear filter circuits, and have also outline how these methods can be applied to non-linear systems of equations.
Agreed!
Enchanté. Now I have to follow this new white rabbit.
Thanks for the clarifications.
EDIT: I've read posts from people putting words in your mouth. I've naïvely trusted them and propagated their petitio principii... Valuable epistemological lesson here: people speak noise, only trust primary sources.
From your perspective I imagine it must be off-pissing.

Please checkout my ADC 2020 talk and associated slides. They contain a rundown of the standard mathematical terminology and methods used to numerically solve non-linear differential equations - in particular Gilbert Strang's Computational Engineering video series is excellent. Funnily enough Gil does not mention TPT or ZDF anywhere in his lectures, he uses the normal terminology of implicit non-linear differential equations, and describes how to formulate and solve these systems numerically. Audio DSP is not somehow special that it needs newly invented jargon, the existing maths is quite general enough to cover all this and a lot more, and has been around for a very long time.antoineportes wrote: Mon May 11, 2026 3:15 am ...

@andy-cytomic
I've found the Youtube video on your website.
I'm a books guy, so I struggle a bit with the format.
But I've started watching it and it's already fascinating: we could use BLT, or something else, or mix techniques... Don't solve problems, anticipate them — I really like the spirit.
Thanks for sharing.
