Thanks a lot for the offer, really appreciate it!

I’m using the demo at the moment so I should be good for now, but I’ll keep that in mind — thanks again!

Ask about the dev copy, some companies will do that. It’s in their interest to ensure compatibility, not all of them see it that way sadly. Otherwise it’s a not for resale lic I believe.

Thanks, that’s really helpful — I’ll look into it.

I’m also planning to work on a clipper next, so it would definitely make sense to check compatibility with Live as well.

Appreciate the info!

Thanks Yasushi, congratulations on the release!

IMO, this is a great limiter! Excellent work and accomplishment, best of luck moving forward. I enjoyed testing it very much. :tu:

Looking forward to seeing whatever other tool you have in mind for the future.

Sorry, can’t load your website as it needs a certificate (many customers will not follow the workaround to load an HTTP website).

Good luck with the new release though!

Thanks for pointing this out!

The issue was caused by the site still being on HTTP — I’ve just enabled SSL, but it may take a little time to fully propagate.

In the meantime, you can access SOL-4 directly here:
https://solstudioaudio.gumroad.com/l/phibfj

I’ll update the thread once the HTTPS version is fully active.

Thanks for your patience!

It seems that many people still judge limiters mainly by how loud they can get. But honestly, any limiter can get louder if you just lower the ceiling and push the gain hard enough.

My mastering philosophy is a bit different. What matters to me is not simply loudness — it’s how the limiter actually sounds.

I’ve put together an experimental Mac build of SOL-4 (AU / VST3). So far it has only been tested from macOS 10.13 up to Apple Silicon M1 systems, so I’m currently looking for a few people willing to help test it on newer Apple Silicon Macs.

Feel free to reach out if interested.

SOL-4 is now available for macOS (AU/VST3).

Tested on macOS 10.13 through macOS Tahoe, including Apple Silicon systems.

Existing customers can simply re-download the latest installer from Gumroad.
