Dennis Locorriere passed away on May 16, 2026, after a long and battle with kidney disease.

The band, originally known as Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show until 1975, achieved widespread fame with songs such as Cover Of The Rolling Stone, Sylvia's Mother.

For me Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show and their songwriter Shel Silverstein have had a special place in the heart after I purchased their hilarious LP Sloppy Seconds when I was in my early teens.

Locorriere sings here with Ray Sawyer, who died for some time ago:

Ahh! Bummer how many musicians from my youth have passed. Carry me, Carrie was always a journey to listen.
