Just wasted a whole morning installing all the Analog V and Collection V gear on the Mac mini M4 (MacOS 26) half didn't work, some simply froze, the B3 loads with some stuck note like a bagpipe drone, it stuck VSTs in as well as AU and VST3...
Uninstall routines never worked, it has to be running in the background to even open, and more.
So I manually removed every reference to Arturia and every folder I could find. Equalling a totally wasted 4-5 hours (that was because I wasted time researching the issues and got nowhere!)
They make great controllers but shit software!!

Yeah, it can be buggy. You can download individual installers (at least you could last time I checked).
On Windows I've not had many issues with their plugins aside from the control center and updating some of the Augmented stuff where I get errors saying the sample content doesn't match the plugin version number or some such thing.
I'm at least glad Arturia, Native Instruments, ik multimedia, Steinberg, etc. let you choose where to install sample content (most of the time), unlike some developers.

thanks.....I couldn't see any individual d/l options, but then again, I was not really looking. I will check back on the website and see if that will make any difference.Cuauhtli wrote: Mon May 18, 2026 2:01 am Yeah, it can be buggy. I did have it installed to a data drive and not the system drive, so mebbe that might have contributed??

No idea. Anyway, in your products page click on "Additional Resources" (or something like that) and it should have the individual installers there. I think you still need to use the Arturia Software Center to authorize the plugins if I remember correctly.

I don't have any problem with the install center, but there are a few presets in Analog Lab/Play and even Pigments that are missing a sample and I get an Error box every time I select one. Still plays, I just don't know how an installer can just leave out a sample.

ASC seems to have trouble with external drives. But the standalone installers don't have the same issue. Having poked around the innards of what ASC caches from downloads (which is another reason for maybe avoiding it, as these can suck quite a few gigabytes of capacity from a system drive), I think it breaks the installers down into much smaller elements and doesn't check properly when the sub-packages fail. So, I suspect it can get to 90% done on sample or preset installation and then just flake out without anything seeming wrong to ASC.keys_au1 wrote: Mon May 18, 2026 3:45 am I did have it installed to a data drive and not the system drive, so mebbe that might have contributed??
The weirdest one on Mac is how the presets get installed in a Factory folder inside another Factory inside a third Factory folder and that extra third level means the plugin can find the presets. This only seems to occur with an update. So I suspect what happens is that ASC installs to a "safe" subfolder to avoid directly overwriting presets...and then forgets or fails to move it into place. Again, it only happens on non-system drives. This might be related to permissions: ASC works if you first delete the existing presets folder. So it might be that it gets as far as deleting the old presets but then can't move the new folder.

Solid installation and uninstall experiences here on PC Ryzen 5950x and Chinese dual socket E5 system both Windows 10 and Mac OS an M1 MacBook Pro . Latest OS updates . Installed on internal drives using latest ASC builds. I would search the forums. If the problem is common / repeatable it will likely be documented and show up on various forums.

Zero issues with it ever on multiple PCs for many years now Windows 7, 10, and 11. In fact as far as these types of systems go it's been the one that has been the best by far

I also. noted it needs FULL system access, the entire MacOS system, or again it does not work. Really, it is about the only software I have installed on they new Mac system that requires all of these preconditions to even work!

And none of the posts above make any reference to ONLY installing AU versions. I do not want VST (jeez it's 2026 already!!) nor VST3. They offer AU so why not let me install JUST AU?
Anyway, I have contacted support to report the issues and to ask about getting links to individual d/l resources, IE .dmg files standalone, and not via ASC.
btw, additional resources links pretty much only allow d/l of manuals etc and still refers you back to ASC to install anything.
IK Multimedia, Izotope, Addictive Drums et al, they ALL have special installers and they all give you options as to where and the type of plugin you want. None of the "hoops" Arturia demands!

Sure we get it, you want to be locked into the proprietary closed wall garden of whatever Apple decides for you and then complain when it doesn't work. It's 2026 why no be beholden to Apple's propritary format that came out 24 years ago?keys_au1 wrote: Mon May 18, 2026 6:26 pm And none of the posts above make any reference to ONLY installing AU versions. But this thread is entitled Arturia Software Center Sux, and for most of us who decide to use modern open sourced tools like VST3 it doesn't suck in fact it's the opposite of suck
