It's a 49-cell hexagonal feedback network — you populate a hive of cells with module types (oscillators, samplers, filters, granular processors, delays, envelopes, LFOs, sequencers and more), and a dynamic routing matrix called the SWARM shifts the signal paths in real time based on a set of hive-state controls, modelled around real-world hive behaviour. Risk, Waggle Dance, Swarm Density, Smoke, Queen's Frequency, Hive Presence. It's generative, it's live-performance focused, and it's built to be unpredictable in useful ways.
macOS only for now — Universal Binary, so M-series and Intel both covered. Notarised, so it installs and launches without any fuss.
If you're into generative synthesis, feedback systems, or just curious what a synthesiser modelled on a bee colony actually sounds like, I'd love to have you test it.
What I'm looking for:
Stability reports — crashes, audio dropouts, anything breaking
Module behaviour — anything that sounds or acts wrong
Musical feedback — does it feel expressive? Where does it surprise you, where does it frustrate you?

Feedback here, via GitHub Issues, or info@sirreal.biz
Thanks in advance

Hey, yeah this is something I realised when I tested it on my laptop (it was built on my Mac Mini with 2 monitors running), it'll be fixed in the next build. For the moment, a quick fix is just to use the buttons at the bottom of the main screen (Insp/Routing/Mixer/Vis), this will 'call' the windows onto your screen. Bit of a faff, but not a major dramaTj Shredder wrote: Sat Apr 25, 2026 6:56 pm Its strange, whenever I select a preset, all windows jump to the left, as if they want to move to a non existing external screen. Maybe save the presets with their windows on the main screen…

Yeah, you're right, although the app link had been updated on here as new builds were done...but obviously that only helps if you've read through the thread
When I'm reading threads like this I tend to start at the end and work backwards, but I guess I'm not typical

Hey, anyone had any fun with this yet? Any feedback?

Hey freaks, not heard a peep out of any of you really, so assuming you've either given up on it, or life has got in the way (as it does). Regardless, I've been ploughing on and just uploaded Beta v4. I think it's a significant improvement in several areas - loads of bugs fixed, new features added, usability (hopefully) improved. Of course I'd still love to know what you think. If you're still interested, then grab it here (along with the revised manual), do a fresh install, and have a play

Heh...as probably should be expected by now, during a testing session last night, discovered a pretty major bug with the save presets implementation. That is now fixed, and have updated the DMG in Github. While I was at it, I also fixed the UI so it should now load cleanly on any monitor, all tool windows are now in one clean tabbed window, and the whole UI is much neater and more usable. If you downloaded the DMG yesterday, then please re-download from the new file today and re-install.

Honestly, that should be it for the moment, and fingers crossed you'll be able to have some actual fun without needing to do any further downloads or re-installs! Appreciate your patience
