This one looks really interesting. I'll definitely give it a spin tomorrow.

Looks interesting so far. Far more creative than Audio Thing Fog Convolver 2, that was kinda my first thought when thinking of "creative" use of convolution up to now. Should become my new go to.
This thing came with some IR library, but I'm not sure where it went on disk and it is not easy to "browse" (other than browsing the presets themselves). You'll now what I mean if you try it. Will try to get to the bottom of it when I'll have some time.
A good, curated, library of IR, easy to access from inside the plugin, is a useful starting point, even if we all have some collection lying around.

Aava actually stores IRs with the preset (compressed, so they take very little space unless you have insanely long IRs). I made this decision to avoid the problem of moving the IRs and invalidating old DAW projects that's probably all too common a problem for anyone using sample-based instruments. I might distribute the factory IRs as a separate download at some point if there's interest, although many are from public sources.Velden wrote: Tue May 19, 2026 4:52 pm Looks interesting so far. Hmm... Storing the IRs with the presets is 100% a very good move. But...
"Browsing" the IRs in each slot... I'd very much like that, a lot. And what I mean by "curated" library is that it could be "tailored" to help explore the plugin and build new presets.
(I have to check, if at least the "load" button reopen the last folder used.)

I'm first concentrating on fixing any bugs (thankfully there aren't that many), then probably doing a smaller feature update with some requested things like dry / wet lock. After that I'll probably start work on the AU version since there's obviously interest in that.

AU would be great (for those times I use Logic) but I’m lucky in that I also use Live, so getting good use from this wonderful plugin now.
I did have a giggle at the dry/wet lock option, which would be quite useful, but the dry/wet control is one of the first I’m automating with what is a very good mod system.

I just released update 1.0.1 that fixes most known crashes and bugs. Some bugs are still waiting for fixes to 3rd party code so they're out of my control and some are not critical and require a bit more investigation so I didn't want to postpone releasing fixes for the more critical bugs.
Fixed
Fixed
- Fix several crashes
- Fix several edge cases with file dialogs resulting in crashes or weird behavior
- Fix several bugs when using host undo
- IR preview now stops when a new IR is loaded
- Minor visual fixes

Thanks for your report. I'm seeing some Direct3D crash reports (I'm using Sentry for sending anonymous crash reports) so it might be related to that. Updating your display drivers might help. I will also look into using Vulkan by default since apparently it has a lot fewer problems than D3D in general.farfadetfarfelu wrote: Tue May 26, 2026 7:03 pm Hello, plugin now loads, i can select "Trial" , then a few seconds after PC slows/freezes and Reaper crashes.
