Thanks seismic. I wonder how the 18 ton gong sounds.

I couldn't find any examples of it being struck, and suspect its current use is ornamental rather than musical.

I did find this:-

I searched for about ten minutes and couldn't find any audio either. I'd love to hear that 80inch gong up close. My little speakers aren't going to do it justice.

memphis gong chamber have some excellent performances - this one uses the large gong but they sure have a huge collection of other ones
