back home with one of these : https://thirdmanrecords.com/products/th ... rd-edition
every other pedal there was well over $300 & the Triplecaster was $4k (!) : https://www.fender.com/products/jack-wh ... telecaster
They let me demo the instrument in the store #smile
We went with some friends to see Joe Jackson at the Masonic and it was one of the best shows I've seen in this century. His voice is still so strong, sang his ass off & his guitarist was flawless : https://www.teddykumpel.com/
Cheers

Hey cool! I was in Detroit for the first time ever in March, really loved it but didn't have a chance to check out much local art/music.
Was Graham Maby on bass for Joe Jackson? I just missed seeing Joe in San Francisco recently.

Tested the pedal extensively today and it really sounds great. Distortion can be just-hint-of-dirt all the way to brutal. Normally, a phaser is not in my circle of trust but this one is sorta interesting. The echo does a cool slap-back sound at low settings.
Winston - Maby on bass with Jackson as he has for 40 years (!)

Thanks for the "Definitely Maby"!
That sounds like a fun pedal, what other phasers would you compare that one to?
Is distortion touch/volume-knob responsive?
I love that Jack White does signature stuff in a variety of price ranges!

Hey I saw Joe Jackson this weekend, fantastic show! The brand new and 10-20-30 year old songs are just as good as the ones from the '80s. Interesting musical interplay between all the instruments and voice, plus contrasting dynamics and tension/release.
Teddy was great on the guitar and rocked my favorite color combo - purple suit and a green guitar!
TBH Joe Jackson doesn't "need" other musicians so I feel like Teddy added more textural/sound-designy parts like Adrian Belew. Definitely loved Graham Maby on bass and vox, percussionist and drummer were excellent too!
Everyone's chops were in service of the music and they played a bunch of different styles authentically.
@Mister Natural - Dunno if I would have checked it out without your heads-up, thanks! A friend had a free ticket!

@Winston - I listened to the new record ahead of the show & was . . . underwhelmed but seeing the songs played live gave me a much better understanding of them. I agree with your notes : musician interplay, the guitar parts, wow percussionist, etc. Jackson is a hella piano player & still a brilliant songwriter.
Cheers
