though...with DIVA one can mix and match. Have some proper fun with different combi'sLbdunequest wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 11:22 amOr Roland Cloud Jupiter 8. I personally think it sounds way better then Diva. Superior in the sound. It feels clean but yet has higher register, where's Diva sounds dull.
I think Zebra 3 is a better choice then Diva for Jupiter emulation.
The hell? Behringer JT-16 vst

still it does "suffer" from not being as clean as Roland Cloud in the higher register. There is a comparison between Roland Cloud J8 and Real Jupiter 8 giving the conclusion that its very authentic emulation. So i guess original hardware model does have that brightness, cleanlinessD-Fusion wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 11:51 amTal J8 Is also a great option without the 30day activation headache.Lbdunequest wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 11:22 amOr Roland Cloud Jupiter 8. Set the Vco calibration to around 2-3 and it will sound very close to the Roland Cloud Jupiter 8 Plugin.
I wonder what happened to the Behringer Daw and the Emulation plugins that where supposed to come with it.

How much more do you want? To do what exactly? You have a LFO, a VC0 Mod/Pulse Width control, very basic VCO controls, VCF, VCA, and two envelopes. That's it that's a Jupiter 8, expanding that makes it not a Jupiter 8.rafa1981 wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 4:58 pm80%+IvyBirds wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 1:52 pmHow much more do you want? Why do you need to fill your monitor with those basic controls?
Keep in mind I have no interest in this as I already have multiple Jupiter 8 plugins, but the Jupiter 8 is a rather simple synth which is part of its charm

Sorry, do you mean the knob on the top-right of the VT page? Doesn't it default to being around 2-3, or do you mean even higher than the default?D-Fusion wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 11:51 am Tal J8 Is also a great option without the 30day activation headache.

Main panel - Calibration section, "VCO" knob. Defaults to zero, here.Uncle E wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 7:21 pm Sorry, do you mean the knob on the top-right of the VT page? Doesn't it default to being around 2-3, or do you mean even higher than the default?
. .
(The VT page controls are just per-voice offsets for these global controls).

It is the vco knob under the Calibration part in beely's example picture
The sound gets brighter and more fizzy when you move that vco knob away from the 0 position.
When you set it to 2-3 you need to watch the value display to set it so it is not about setting the Knob to 2-3 O'clock position but setting it to 2-3 on the value screen.

I assume the issue is the black background taking up so much unnecessary space.IvyBirds wrote: Fri May 22, 2026 7:09 pmTo do what exactly? Tal is good, however I prefer both the Roland Cloud version and the Cherry audio version. To each their own. But Tal doesn't sound quite right in the low end. Tal UI is the best though that's for sure.
