I put a HW FX on track 1, then put the same HW FX on track 2. When I increase the mix knob on track 1 and play something through track 2, I still hear the FX even though the same HW FX on track 2 is at 0%.
I am on a RME card with total mix and I already tried putting it in DAW mode.
Is this not meant to work like this? Has anyone had this?
Thank you

so the mix knob is for the amount of processed signal at the device OUTPUT [not input] blended with the dry signal entering the device. the mix knob has no effect on stopping the signal going to your device. so if you have two tracks going to the same external compressor for example. you have both set to 0% mix you will hear both signals dry. if you have one set to 100% mix and 1 set to 0% mix and you have both tracks activated with signal coming through - you will hear the track thats at 0% mix coming through on the track thats at 100% mix because the signal is still going to the compressor.
hope this helps.
hope this helps.
