I can't see what's new or revolutionary about this plugin. Although it sounds good and i don't want to diminish the work put into it, i don't hear anything that other synth plugins can't already do. It still sounds like a plugin, not a real analog, right? Maybe i'm missing something.

UNSTABLE v1.1 is out!

This is a big one. I got access to a real Yamaha CS-80 and spent a lot of time measuring the original voice cards — oscillator waveforms across the full frequency range, all the nonlinearities, the subtle instabilities that give the CS-80 its character.

The result is a greatly improved physical model of the oscillators. Here's a direct comparison of the waveforms — real CS-80 in grey, UNSTABLE in purple:



Square, sawtooth, and sine across seven octaves (C0 to C6). The shapes, the rounding, the way they degrade at higher frequencies — it's all there now.

Also included from recent updates:
- New DarkStar Reverb/Delay engine (v1.0.15)
- New Chorus engine (v1.0.15)
- Compressor controls in the effects section (v1.0.14)
- Various bug fixes

The Unstable demo refuses to load in FL Studio 25.2.5, Windows 11: "There was a problem opening the plugin UNSTABLE for an unknown reason. Please make sure it was installed correctly." It works in Reaper though.

Unfortunately I dont own FL Studio so I have no way of tracking this down or even reproducing it. I would need a detailed error report/log. The plugin validates fine and follows the vst3 specifics.

Yeah, I really like this simple style, non skeuomorphic design. Maybe though some grouping or border highlighting/brightness difference of areas would be helpful, to visually e.g. differ volume adsr from filter, or adsr from the rest of the section, etc.

Hi, the grouping is right there, between channel I and II, just like on the real Yamaha CS-80

I've tested it in FL Studio 25.2.5 and couldn't find any problems. It loads just fine. Have you tried following the error message's suggestion and actually "made sure it was installed correctly" ?
