Thanks. That did it. But what a convoluted process.Gamma-UT wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 7:54 amI think back then PluginBoutique was the only shop to sell it, so I’m guessing you got a discount code you redeemed via PB. Try checking your account there.wagtunes wrote: Fri May 29, 2026 2:32 am Okay, I have no idea what to do. I bought Carbon Electra in 2017 from VST Buzz. I still have the email receipt. Problem is, they moved and are now Audio Plugin deals, which I also have an account with. But they don't have a record of my Carbon Electra purchase. How can I get my discount if nobody has a record of my purchase?

don't think so, different engine/beast, but you can keep the OG alongside Carbon Electra 2

It doesn't, I asked them, unfortunately it's a completely different engine based off the original, but there is no backwards compatibility at all.

If that folder exists create a folder called "Carbon Electra 2" (Without the quotes but with Cpaitals and spaces) and relaunch the plugin.

I always find in any VST synth, only one of every 10 presets are suitable for my taste. I will buy a VST only if there are at-least 10 presets per dollar I spend. So for $ 100 VST, I expect 1000 presets.
Just my view.

i personally invested a ton of time in my own patches in version 1, and purchased all of the commercial ones.
I also spent a fair bit of time emailing back and forward with Elliot the developer, getting the hang of the shortcuts behind the scenes to rename and re-categorise all my presets. I put hours into it. The fact that version 2 cannot load v1 presets is a bit of a kick in the balls really. based on this experience I doubt i'll upgrade.

So you don’t like to program your own sounds?suseka2003 wrote: Sun May 31, 2026 4:44 am I always find in any VST synth, only one of every 10 presets are suitable for my taste. I will buy a VST only if there are at-least 10 presets per dollar I spend. So for $ 100 VST, I expect 1000 presets.

If there is, it's not obvious on the Scaler website.
I caved and bought the upgrade. Happy to take a punt if the price is right.
Only had a brief look, but happy so far. I like the UI and think its tone will complement what I already have rather than overwhelm.

You need to have a Scaler account and you will find all the demos there, not obvious at all. Only CC payment aswell

This actually sounds very good. Not a fan of the unison with the plosive attacks though. That reminds me of early 2000s synths. Could use an oscillator phase control switch.
