Create sort of a Super Juno. Something that's a Juno at the core with features more closely akin to a Jupiter-8 except maybe without the sync and crossmod.

But I digress. ;)
That would be Image-Line's Kepler Exo. It's everything you said plus sync and crossmod, 4 LP filters, filter FM, adjustable sub osc phase, and some effects. Unfortunately it's only available within FL Studio.
Kepler Exo is my go to Super Juno. It sounds and plays amazing.

Cool! Never heard of it. But don't use Fruity Loops. But something like that as a standalone VST would be rad.

That makes me think of U-he's Tyrell N6 except for the "exacting Juno emulation" part because I think Tyrell is inspired by it, and not a full on emulation.

Just nailed modeling that gorgeous swaying hiss the original JUNO-6 chorus breathes out — and honestly, it delights me so much I'm half-tempted to ship it with no "disable" button at all ;-P

There's a lot we could add, but I want to get the basics right first. A second envelope would force me to break the entire UI — though with some kind of tab or switch up in the label to toggle between ENV1 and ENV2, it could work. Not sure that'll ever happen, though.

What future versions will have is poly aftertouch (reopening the filter or applying LFO) and touch response for velocity and filter intensity. That should give us expression beyond the wildest dreams of a JUNO-6. I don't want to completely butcher the original machine, though, so a handful of well-chosen additions should do the trick.

I also need to be very careful not to break the existing presets and sound-shaping values anymore — a lot of people have started using it in productions. The next version will have some adjustments to the envelope max values, and I had to work very hard to adjust the few factory presets already in existence so their attack matches exactly the same time as before.

Post

Oh, I was thinking whole other product for that in addition to this. One not intended to be an exacting emulation but rather that sort of imaginary Super Juno Roland never made.

UPDATE OUT NOW
v1.1.0
- Added Aftertouch, Pitchbend, VCA/VCF Velocity Response
- ADSR refit to measured hardware
- Modeled accurate chorus BBD noise
- Preset menu: prev/next arrows
- New fader/handle drag subroutine, fader no longer jumps on click

Image

Please note that the presets have changed to match the new parameters and envelope refit. The installer should replace the existing ones. If your factory presets sound different after installing, delete them manually and rerun the installer.

IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR USER PRESETS
If you already created your own presets, note that you may have to readjust the envelope attack to your liking, as it could now be much longer because of the recalibrated setting. This was a one-time adjustment. There will be no further changes to the envelope curves from this version onward as they now accurately match the hardware.

Grats on the update!

The LFO is retriggering on each note instead of being free running, is this intentional?

I'm also noticing some different behaviour in the chorus. If I select just the sub osc and play D4, the stereo is heavily weighted towards the right. If I play D5, the stereo is heavily weighted towards the left. In both instances there is an unpleasant sensation in one side.

The noise sounds good and is pretty subtle, and it's nice that there's a noise knob is on the effects page.

Sad to see the Drift fader gone!

Yes, the LFO is intentional.

As for the chorus problem, I can't reproduce this on any of my test environments. Can you send me a recording to morphoice@gmail.com?

Not sure what you did, but 1.1.0 is requiring me to have to bang on my keys to get any sound out of the presets.

It might be a good idea to have the Response controls be global, rather than changing with every preset. In that case, it might be better to move them to the Effects page or a dedicated Global page.

100 % agree, Uncle E, why is the drift gone now ?
