I won't claim to have eliminated all of the pain that comes from this process, but I think I've eliminated 90% of it.FX Locker is a project that I've been working on with my dev partner that combines some really useful features into a single app. It can instantly log all the plugins installed on your system and organize them by vendor, save details like license keys and passwords, and sync to the cloud -- allowing you to have access to all that info on your new machine that you're setting up. Once on your new machine, there's a reinstall wizard that provides download links, instructions, and your saved installer info to make reinstalling as painless as possible.
While we're extremely proud of what we've built, as an indie team we know there is room for improvement, which is where I'm hoping the community can contribute.
