Been using it with no issue for years now, great powerful plugin.
I don't think I've ever had to look at the plugin once I've got my preset loaded up.
Sounds like your using it on a small device maybe?

I queried the same thing to Valhalla DSP support, just over 4 years ago.

This was their, then, response.

We do plan to update Shimmer in the future to have a scalable UI as well as preset system. We don’t have a specific time for this, but it is on the list of things to do.

To be fair, their UI is extremely complex, and so it must be a huge task to implement.

They've said a few times over that Shimmer was built as their first plugin, and uses an old framework, as well as some other internal things that would make it harder to update.

They'd likely have to build it over as an entirely new plugin (which I'd be in favor of) rather than try to modernize the older code.

If the old Shimmer can’t be updated, I’d love a new Shimmer, and I’d gladly pay for it.

Yeah, its focus on visual pizzazz is actually such a turn-off for me that I rarely use it.
