[FREE] LINA - A tube EQ inspired by a forgotten name

Hi everyone,

I'd like to share a new plugin I've been working on: LINA.

LINA is available free of charge.
I won't ask anything in return. Using it is already more than enough. If you happen to enjoy it, feel free to tell someone about it.

Legend has it that, many years ago, a Polish engineer designed an unusual tube equalizer and named it after herself.
Some swear they have heard it. Others insist she never existed.

This is LINA.

LINA is not a surgical EQ. It was designed for those moments when precision is not the goal, and when a little color, character and attitude can be more interesting than a perfectly flat response.

The frequencies are fixed, the controls are deliberately simple, and some design choices may feel a little unusual at first.
There are no hidden menus, no complex routing options and no endless preset libraries. The idea was to create an equalizer that encourages listening rather than tweaking.

Just a handful of controls.
Turn them.
Listen.
Trust your ears.

Maybe you'll discover something unexpected.

I'd genuinely be interested to hear what you think.

Maybe you'll like LINA.
Maybe you won't.

But I hope she won't leave you indifferent.

I can't get this to open on MacOS, even when I allow it to be opened in Security Settings. System still blocks it.

Only tried the VST3 plugin in Reaper. MacOS is Sonoma 14.8.5

Run this in Terminal (use /Library/... if you installed it for all users) :

Code: Select all

xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine ~/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/LINA.vst3

Then rescan in Reaper.

Hope this will help.

First impressions are extremely good here! Very nice sounding EQ with a lot of complexity and "mojo" happening it seems. Definitely a very useful and "musical" sounding plugin!
