Looks like the best approach to managing plugins in Reason is to make a custom folder and place in it symlinks to just the plugins you want to load in it

Or simply toss the boring, useless BST in the bin??

I just upgraded on the basis the reverb alone is pretty much worth the upgrade fee to me, it’s really very good indeed and can do the bread and butter stuff to the really creative and eclectic stuff really well…I’m mainly a rack guy but Reason certainly looks a lot better and has a lot less clutter than Fender Studio…I may give it a go again as a DAW.

It was more the case that I only really needed a decent piano and sampler (Pianoteq and Falcon), both of which Reason lacks, and didn’t want Reason to have a slower startup which it does if it has lots of plugins to scan

Someone else experienced annoying GUI jumps (unintended scrolling) in Reason 14?

Not me, but Reason 14 crashes at least once per session for me on my Mac. Often while loading a VST plugin.
