Hi KVR friends experts!
I have noticed that my Synapse Audio Dune 3 is not responding to Pedal Sustain Hold. As I press the pedal it transmits the midi info but Presets are not holding the notes!
I could not find where is the parameter to turn it On!
Any help?
Thank you

Maybe try mapping Foot to Amp release in the matrix? I am not sure though, since I don't have a pedal. That worked using the mod wheel for me with an init preset.

I have a sustain pedal and I seem to remember it working with DUNE 3 in the past. I normally don't use the sustain pedal unless I'm playing a piano plugin.Carlo Celuque wrote: Fri Jun 05, 2026 2:54 pm Hi KVR friends experts!

I'll give it a test tomorrow morning and let you know what I find.

Maybe on Mac system it works! But I am on Windows!
It`s weird that Dune 3 don`t accept by default setting Damper pedal here! You must have to add a CC controller on the Matrix to do the magic!
I have lots of VSTi and all accept Sustain pedal by default!

It works just fine here on Windows 10, VST3. Cubase, Vienna Ensemble Pro, and Cantabile. No special setup needed.

I wonder if the OP accidentally turned on the MIDI learn by right-clicking on a knob and stepped on the sustain pedal while that's active? In that case, I think right-clicking on a knob and choosing "clear MIDI map" would revert to the default mapping.

I can confirm that the Sustain pedal works just fine in Windows 11 even with the Init patch which means it's not a routing issue.

Well, did you have to assign any CC 64 on the Matrix Page in order for it to work?Teksonik wrote: Sat Jun 06, 2026 12:18 pm I can confirm that the Sustain pedal works just fine in Windows 11 even with the Init patch which means it's not a routing issue.
Here it works only if I include the CC in the Matrix page so it doesn`t work by default if the preset has no CC 64 assined to it!
Did you try the Factory presets? Can you give me any preset name that it is working?
Thank you very much.
In all my VSTis, it’s not necessary to create any special configuration for the sustain pedal to hold the notes! Just press the pedal with your foot, and the notes are held! From what I could see in Dune 3, you need to create a command for this! In other words, it doesn't come pre-configured as a default in the system!.

I don't have my PC with me, its been in storage since December but prior to that it also worked fine without any extra configurating.
I am pretty sure Tek would have mentioned that if he did that. I am 99.999999999% sure he didn't.
What DAW are you using?

Check if your DAW is not filtering your midi input messages and filtering out your midi control messages and double check that your midi channels are matched to your midi controller send and recieve channels. Check also if your midi controllers device no is is correctly set and synchronised with your Daw

I use Sonar Cakewalk and all my VSTis from a variety of brands accept the Sustain Pedal without any added configuration!
My Daw is not filtering out the CC 64 as I can confirm by checking it at listing events page!

YEAH! What a silly mistake I did! As you can see the problem was related to the MIDI Channel 2 the Arturia Controller was sending to DUNE 3!
Well, After more than 40 years of using synthesizers I made a silly mistake like that!
Really thank you for everyone here and sorry for my mistake!
