Virsyn Tera - This was so far ahead of its time and could probably be run properly with todays CPUs. Update the FX and the sequencer and this could do so much.

Helix is still a great and quite underrated synth.Benjamin923 wrote: Sat Dec 06, 2025 4:16 am Rhino2, I think that’s definitely my pick. I’d throw Helix in too with a new UI.
Still use it regulary. And yes - a new UI and a Vst3 version would be really great.

Rob took it over and there's a Vst3 version. But the sound engine is still the same. I still use it occasionally for its distinct sound.DrGonzo wrote: Wed Jan 14, 2026 5:24 am I wonder how Albino would sound like if it would still have been developed by Linplug/Rob Papen.

Cakewalk Dimension Pro and/or Rapture
even the rebuilt 2nd version of Rapture (which contained the Dimension Pro content) is now vaporware and doesn't work on any of my current systems. I miss it...

Definitely. Cube also. I wasn't happy that Virsyn abandoned them and went iOS only. Admittedly, the iOS version of Tera was my fav ipad toy.osiris wrote: Mon May 25, 2026 12:53 pm Virsyn Tera - This was so far ahead of its time and could probably be run properly with todays CPUs. It‘s not yet a real resurrection, but if I could choose a plugin maintained and further developed actively and rebuild an active community around it, it would be Reaktor. Still one of the most impressive audio software and very very pity, that it wasn‘t possible to make it commercially evolving.

Re: Tera 3. I I think they only updated dependencies and probably graphics.
TERA 3 runs on Intel/M1 Macs with 10.12 or newer as standalone App / VST2 / AudioUnit and on PCs with Windows 8.1 or newer as standalone App / VST 2.
So, no VST 3.

Absynth5 => Absynth 6 !
DELIVERED !
Thanks !
played yesterday again with it. i start to adopt to the way they see the preset management.
Sounds awesome with my -*live jamable*- post processing chain.
("live jamable" is the keyword here / requires to move over to live play hosts / => GP)
