The fact the WDM are not working within a pro system is suprisingly.. unsurprising. On Windows systems ASIO is the rockbed, a generic ASIO driver is going to perform better then any WDM driver..

At least this is what i have come to understand?
what?

ECHO ASIO WDM. There is no better driver. What do you recomend man? Direct Sound with Polling? :hihi:
And who said "pro-system"?

THIS IS NOT A FACT. THIS IS YOUR OPINION.
And besides you're just wrong.
Mabey you got a crap mobo? what os you running? yadayada.....

seriously to me it sounds like something else is causing your problems. you can't just go shouting out that echo's drivers are "worse than generic" cuz YOUR SYSTEM is having problems. I have never had these problems and I LOVE THE ECHO DRIVERS AND ECHO CONSOLE!!!
what a stupid little f**ker you are - please crawl back under that muddy stone you came from...

I am still not getting some resonable answers on "EnergyXT crackles".I thought that someone will mention new ENE card bus drivers.Maybe that helps.

actually you got lots of reasonable answers ;-)

1. You probably won't get rid of the crackles while maintaining to use the current Echo drivers. I, as well as many others, tried everything.
(some of us are very experienced users/system-tweakers)

You can however use the Asio4all drivers instead.
The problem with crackles will then be gone and the overall performance is even better than the usual performance of the Echo-drivers.

(I did several performance-tests with Sonar 2.2, Sonar4 and Tracktion.)
