I am not seeing how GS can do Rock Style Electric Bass (like iFretless). GS does great GTR but what is up with bass? I like iFretless for bass slides but if doesn't have an AU plugin and GS doesn't seem to do realistic bass slides

i also note that I bought GeoPizzBasses yesterday and that did not solve the issue.
So, GTR on GS = insanely great. All basses tried = huh?
I think it has something to do with real GTRs sliding in a different way and GS not able to generate the sound of a pick or nail drag on a string (ish) which, if it could, might offer other dimensions of realism in slide and playing of GS-Bass generally.
I also noticed, if just playing a bass line that is common (like a real elec bassist playing same note/string over multiple bars pedaling the root) must have to set up a special patch in GS since all patches I tried dont have two of same note next to each other allowing to emulate finger or pick-picking of same note

We are in the process of gathering calibration data for bases over the next couple weeks. I expect that we will add some electric bases within the next month or so. You concede my calibration work by telling me what electric bases you prefer.

I'm not entirely following this. GeoShred is tuned in fourths just like a bass. You certainly can change the tuning so that the keyboard layout matches whatever you want for convenience. You can do this either for a preset under "Menu> Performance Settings> Keyboard> Tuning".mike yates wrote: Wed May 13, 2026 6:17 pm i also note that I bought GeoPizzBasses yesterday and that did not solve the issue.

It is hard to explain, but regarding "I also noticed, if just playing a bass line that is common (like a real elec bassist playing same note/string over multiple...." I did just notice today in MODO bass in Playing Style there is Open String and Let Ring that achieve some simulated two-finger driving pattern on a single string track with iFretless or GeoShred. But nothing so far has string/finger/pick drag sounds whihc is a separate thing - have to add amps to fake it on slidesbizdev@moforte.com wrote: Tue Jun 02, 2026 11:23 pmI'm not entirely following this.
