Had the same Issue on Linux, rechecked Windows 10. Assuming you are also working @ 96 kHz, the solution is to use standard 44.1 or 48 kHz instead. The plugin (for now) doesnt seem to like any higher Sample Rate. Excellent synth btw. - gorgeous sounds and reverb!Morphoice wrote: Sun Jun 07, 2026 11:36 amplease redownload and see if this fixes the issue. And yes it will be honored. Bug Report: I tried EightySix in Bitwig 5.something on Windows 11. When the plugin started up, I could play notes for 2-4 seconds before audio cut out and produced no sound. Whenever I changed the preset, the 2-4 seconds would "restart" and I could play for that duration before audio stopped again. Changing control values via the interface didn't restart the sound, only changing the preset. (I wonder if this has something to do with Bitwig's plugin sandboxing?) I'm happy to run some tests on my setup if you provide instructions.
Question: I donated €5 back when it said this was the minimum donation to receive the full version, once it leaves beta testing, if it goes commercial. Will this be honored?

Hi, just to be sure: Do we have to support the beta with at least €5 or with at least €10 to receive a free license for the final paid release of EightySix when it ships?
And: Is there a chance to unlock Payments by Paypal in Gumroad?
Thank you for your reply.

Ahoy! The sample rate in both plugins isn't capped, so 96 kHz does work — it just uses double the sample processing on the non-control lines, which means significantly more CPU in the DSP. That can cause dropouts, and unfortunately there isn't much I can optimize there. In a future version we could add a button to bypass the reverb entirely, since it's a fairly complex algorithm inspired by the Strymon BigSky and does quite a lot of calculating, and people usually use their send reverb of choice anyways. Future Faust versions should also let us cut CPU usage down a bit more, but they're not out yet. If you discover problems, please let us know your buffer size and CPU configuration so we can adjust the minimum system requirements accordingly.
As for the beta price: we initially set it at €5, but that unfortunately didn't cover costs, since Gumroad already takes a fairly substantial cut in fees. So we had to raise it to €10, which is still very fair. All past €5 donations will be honored, though.
On PayPal — that's not something I can offer, I'm afraid. I had a bad experience with them in the past and no longer use them, so it's not available through my Gumroad. Card payment covers the same ground for almost everyone.
