This is excellent. It really rewards careful listening and tweaking. The GUI is a work of art. I really love the warp feature/parameter within the Stutter section, and the Dattorro reverb implementation. It's actually a very versatile processing plug-in.

Everything sounds overly compressed but I can imagine using it to generate background flavor/craziness.
If it operates the same as Tape Fiasco 2, there is a compressor on the master output by default. It can be adjusted/switched off completely though for less in-your-face effect.

I've been playing with it tonight and having a ton of fun, but it makes me so jealous of people who can use these things (Tape Fiasco, Infiltrator, etc.) to full effect while still keeping things sounding musical. Guess I'm not as creative as I ever thought lol

Find a preset you like, then turn the dry/wet (on the perform page) down until it isn't obtrusive.

The feature set and sound quality of Tape Fiasco seems great. Certainly the price is great. I can't overcome my distate for the UI though, sadly.

Hi! Good to see this one here. I'm Jonas the developer of Tape Fiasco.

The compressor (and auto gain) is now set to 0 as default, based on the input in this thread.

Some (of many) things I'm planning to add ahead to Tape Fiasco 2:

Dice to randomise multiple parameters.
"Velvet Reverb" - Lush shimmer reverb, works great in combonation with the BendIt Stutter effect for ambient dreams.
UI themes.
Expanded LFO for more control.
"Harmonic Field" - Spectral effect. One of the best sounding effect in Modular Fiasco.
Saturator, adding more color.
Longer grains on Stretch, highly requested from Beta testing phase.
Offset parameter on Crystal FX, which is a harmonic spectral resonator tuned in selectable scale, to shift the Arp. Put a random modulation on it and it gets very musical.

That roadmap sounds fantastic. Tape Fiasco is already one of my favourite effect processors, especially for ambient, experimental and lo-fi sound design fiascos :)

For the randomization dices, please consider adding the ability to lock individual parameters and set the randomization strength from subtle percentages all the way up to 100%. That would make it far more controllable and creative. I love being able to generate small variations, preserve important settings or completely transform (or destroy) a patch when needed.

Thank you so much and keep up the great work!
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Awesome roadmap !

Thanks for this great tool! I spent a bit of time on it but I'm still only scratching the surface of what it can do.
Any plan on expanding the step sequencer idea? (maybe being able to sequence an effect of choice).
