Greetings to the forum participants. I would like to submit my work for the One Synth Challenge #208: OB-Xf.

I conceived this work as a demo song for OB-Xf to demonstrate its capabilities in synthesizing traditional musical instruments. I wanted to show as many sounds as possible in the piece, so it's a medley of fragments in different styles. The project is implemented in Ardour (Linux). It contains 70 instances of OB-Xf (LV2) and 1 instance of Surge-XT-Effects as a Reverb-send and LSP Liniter in the master section (mostly for normalization). Compression and equalization are not used on any of the tracks to make the synthesizer sound as authentic as possible. For some parts, the sound of several synthesizer instances is used. I hope I did everything right, correct me if anything.

I LOVE this concept and really enjoy the piece. I just had it on repeat for nearly an hour while working, and I didn't tire of it at all!!

Also, you're clearly an experienced composer and designer. That film score section was *chef's kiss*

Thanks also for showing what this is capable of in its raw form without being saturated in fx. The sound is so authentic. I'd even say nostalgic.

I agree, really incredible stuff! You got an super clear mix without even having to use an eq. It seems like your composition skills came in handy, in addition to the sound design, because even the horns (which I know oberheim excels at anyways) sound extra realistic because of how they are used. You unlocked some acoustic properties from guitar and piano I just wasn't able to get a feel for when I tried. I also LOVE the chiptune sounds, like the early kinda-sax sound, and the melody at the end. Sounds straight out of SEGA genesis.
