Wow... Just realized that, despite paying full price in January 2026, for Fender Studio Pro, I don't even qualify for the first POINT update of the program anymore. So more than I've ever paid for Studio One and less than half a year of support.
What an absolute joke. Last dime this company will ever get from me.

I dunno. I've sent in a support ticket. The language on the website clearly states a YEAR of feature upgrades. I'll wait and see what they respond with.soulata wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 4:45 pmWhat?thievedletter wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 4:14 pm Wow... That doesn't sound right. Are you trying to update from inside Studio Pro? I got the v8 update for free and I had no problem at all with the update, SPro notified me of an update when I launched it, which I installed without issue.thievedletter wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 4:14 pm Wow... Would have preferred a an AI taggable browser ! We need a browser we can tag our samples/instruments/effects ! Thats all , we've been asking for this for years. Fender, don't kill our daw please.

Based on your own personal experiences with Presonus/Fender Support, how long does it typically take to receive a response back from customer support after creating a new support ticket?

Usually 24-48 hours for me, on the other side of the world, but often I can get two or three responses in an evening once I've started the dialogue with them. They've never been particularly helpful but they always try.
Maybe you have but I couldn't care less. My samples are all organised and surely the time you'd have to spend getting all your tags in order could be just as easily spent organising your samples into folders so they are easy to locate?trusampler wrote: Thu Jun 11, 2026 1:59 am Would have preferred a an AI taggable browser ! I'd suggest that to a rock producer, modulators would seem like a "very niche thing". They certainly aren't anything I care about (but neither are any of the things in this update or the last half-a-dozen). All I'm interested in is better stability/reliability and they seem pretty good at doing those things.ffx wrote: Thu Jun 11, 2026 7:33 am Thanks for the update. However, I hoped for modulators, last thing missing for me in S1. Most additions are very niche ones...

I thought Splice and Moises (whatever that is) needed subs tootumface wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 8:49 amYeah, I know. That's why I said it's worrying, because they specifically chose to not let you hide the one that's a subscription service run by them.aMUSEd wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 8:47 am You can turn off the tabs for Splice and that other AI thing - just not the assistant which is ridiculous since it is only working if you have a sub

OK so the best new feature is the Shared Virtual Instrument rack and Instrument Sets functionality - this is a genuine innovation and very useful

It's very cool but not an innovation. Digital Performer has had this for like 15 years, I think. It's good to see other DAWs adding it. I think Fender's version of it is actually better than DP's.aMUSEd wrote: Fri Jun 12, 2026 8:32 am OK so the best new feature is the Shared Virtual Instrument rack and Instrument Sets functionality - this is a genuine innovation and very useful
