Do you sit more than 1 inch away from your studio monitors.
Do you like to move around and record from different locations?
Does your bass player suck at playing on beat?
Sound moves at 343 m / s people!
Enter YouAreNotCrazy a new FREE plugin that as play to quarter notes it tells you what to set your recording offset to. No more guesswork. This is calibrated by you! It works!

My bass player definitely sucks at playing on beat, but I'll blame it on the speed of sound now.

Only works if they’re consistently late or early though…. Not if they’re all over the place. Sorry no miracles.

When Bitwig got the event quantizing thing, I tried it when I made a mistake, and it fixed it right up, but then I looked at my "non mistake" playing, and I was all, "oh wow, I'm often off." Then I started quantizing all of it... and it sounded terrible. All the sudden, my part seemed off the whole time. I reset the audio and it was back to its original state, and I did a punch for the mistake part. The moral of this story is, stay in school, kids.

Good tip, just as long as you realize this isn't to make shitty playing better but just helps you determine what to set recording latency to. Nothing fancy, but nothing that I saw existed already that I could find.
