Code can't be used on Quanta 2 upgrade if you bought it originally from Plugin Boutique. AD website does not recognize that you own it and PB isn't have the sale. Not going to pay more for the upgrade than I did Quanta 1.

Hm, was Quanta 2 always that expensive? I think the original price was more like 99, so the sale price does not look that exciting.jules99 wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 8:07 am AD is having a 40% off sale as part of their 20th anniversary, btw. Code: TWODECADES

I just discovered this with Replicant 3, which I didn't realize had been upgradedSynthient Sound wrote: Tue Aug 29, 2023 3:55 pm Code can't be used on Quanta 2 upgrade if you bought it originally from Plugin Boutique. Has any found that some Quanta 2 presets when bounced to disk (Cubase and Logic) latest versions, will be 1.46 semitones sharp !!!. I assume it's that the original sample is 48k, I am running at 44.1. Try the pad Wavetable Wanderer. It doesn't happen on all of them, the default is fine.

They also had Axon3 on sale for $59 (-34%) and I added to my cart only to have it disappear and return back to $89 a day later...
The company does 50% off sales occasionally and I think I may wait for one of those...

some stuff had no upgrade path, which is odd imo. I can upgrade to axon 3 for $39, ill get
that too. i did buy the replicant upgrade
which was quite cheap. I do like it a lot,
also the new looper.
Lotta stuff to collect to get back on track
with AD heh...
Good stuff tho.

Hello Quanta users & granular lovers
Audio Damage just updated Quanta 2. Some cool new stuff in there, like the filter types and sample trim.
Here's what's new from their official infos:
Quanta 2 has been updated to 2.2.1 on all platforms.
• Filter section reworked. The SLOPE toggle and five shape buttons have been replaced with a single Type menu of 22 entries: the original 8 types, 11 analog-modelled topologies (state-variable, ladder, diode ladder, Sallen-Key, SK2), and two high-order phase rotators (AP 8 and AP 12).
• Filter graph now plots the actual frequency response of whichever topology is active. For the allpass modes it shows the comb of notches you’d hear in a phaser-style wet/dry mix.
• Sidechain recording added. Quanta now has a sidechain input; when it is connected in your DAW, a record button appears next to the sample transport buttons. Press it and the current sample is cleared while the sidechain input records straight into the sample buffer, drawing the waveform as it goes. Press it again to stop. Recording is capped at 10 seconds on iOS and 60 seconds on desktop, and the result is treated exactly like a loaded sample: root detection (if AUTO is on), grains, presets, the works.
• Sample trim added. Two markers on the waveform set the start and end of the sample. Drag them to frame the part you want and press TRIM to cut away the rest, handy for clearing silence or unwanted bits before saving. The button becomes UNDO TRIM afterward to restore the previous sample, and moving a marker again switches it back to TRIM.
• Fix: instancing was extremely slow with a large preset library. The DAW-facing preset list was parsing every preset file just to read the names; it now gets them from the preset info cache.

It is still the best sounding granular synth to me (at least of those that I have licenses for)... and these new filters would make it even better.

Might replace Granulizer 2, as the developer unfortunately disappeared into the Ether. Looks very promising!

Thank you, I appreciate any updates from Audio Damage. These updates, and all updates going forward, need macOS 11 Big Sur and above to meet the minimum system requirements.
For those who are still using macOS Catalina 10.15.7 or below, you should be aware of that change before updating your plugins.

What do you mean not rich as some of the competition? Genuinely curious cause I think Quanta is fully featured, in a very clean and elegant design. It has a very complete set of granular settings, it has combined to the granular synthesis oscillator 2 VA oscillators + a noise one, it has 4 msegs that you can draw any shape you want, 2 morphing lfo's, a mod matrix, 2 filters of 21 types, and high quality on board effects with a chorus, a delay and a reverb. What else should be there?kraster wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2026 12:58 pm Great Stuff.
Quanta 2 is a great straight ahead granulator. Not as feature rich as some of the competition but very solid, very easy to use and sounds great.
