Where are the presets stored? I'm trying to create a library but it looks like the presets are stored internally in the plugin. There doesn't seem to be a folder anywhere.

Saving presets: dial in a sound, hit Save in the PRESETS tab (or Cmd/Ctrl+S), give it a name. It's written to your user presets folder and shows up in the "User" lane in the browser.

Folder:
- macOS: ~/Library/Audio/Presets/Quantastical Sound/STRANG/
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Quantastical Sound\STRANG\Presets\

Drop preset files others share into that same folder and they'll appear in the browser, same in every DAW.

I'm also working on a smooth way to build and share full preset packs (organised in their own group in the browser), so if you end up making a set, that's coming.

Had to do a drive search. Presets are here on Windows 11

As for the license, I seem to have 2. One from yesterday and one from today. I don't know if it automatically updated after purchase or what. Guess I'll find out in 14 days.

STRANG 2.0.3 is out!

Thanks to all of you for the kind words and great feedback.

Fixed in this version:
Resizable UI (drag the bottom-right corner, 100–200%).
Offline activation in the plugin, no phone-home needed.
INIT preset as a real neutral starting point, first in the browser.

Fixes (from CinningBao's bug hunt, thank you):
GLIDE now works in MONO, and LEGATO only glides on actual overlapping notes
HEAT no longer drops the level at low settings
No more brief dropout when moving TWIST PITCH at high DIFFUSION
FM RATIO shows finer values
Filter envelope depth now reads −100…+100% with a centre mark (it's bipolar)
The FX block cog opens the FX panel now
Plus a cleaner dual-layer workflow under the hood.

Incredible update Jonas, thank you! Things are looking really polished now.

One little thing I just discovered this was already in v1.0 but the up/down arrows work great for navigating the preset list and browser, really nice touch. I did notice though that the arrows don't seem to work in the regular browser view as well. Not sure if that's intentional or if it would cause any conflicts, but it felt like a natural extension of the same workflow so thought it was worth mentioning.

A couple of questions, because I can genuinely see STRANG 2 becoming a daily driver in my setup and landing permanently in my template:

1. Do you have plans to add MIDI learn via a simple right-click context menu? Right now I'm routing everything through the DAW which works fine, but native MIDI learn would make this so much faster to map to hardware controllers.

2. Any plans to allow MIDI note range settings per layer? That would open the door to proper keyboard splits, which would be a game changer for live performance. Or maybe it's possible sorry if I'm not seeing it.

Serious synth here, the tones coming out of this thing are unlike anything else. Nothing in my kit sounds like it. Thank you for building something this special!
