hello, just heard about convertwithmoss converter program.
i try to convert korg pa4x user sounds(ram samples only) to yamaha modx(montage). but seems it only generate a text file, or errors.
any idea if it works or how to do it ?
the Korg file i have is a pa4x file, with separate folders for PCM,KMP,PCG files

Is there any hope for adding Maize? I love the sounds in my Dope Sonix Beat Machine plugins, but the plugins themselves are antiquated. I'd love to be able to use the sounds elsewhere.

I have no plans for it. However, if you have any info about the format or example files it might put it on the long list.

Make sure you have selected the correct source format on the left. What does the log say?

Make sure you have selected the correct source format on the left. What does the log say?

now i noticed the left side, that the source with the korg KMP option is not selectable , its grayed out, only few other sources are selectable
Edit: i changed from "performance" to preset convertion and now i see all options from the source, but when i convert it only creates a log file at the folder were i choose at the destination. the log file says:
"ConvertWithMoss 15.1.0
Detecting and converting multi-samples from Korg KSC/KMP/KSF to Yamaha YSFC...

Analyzing: C:\Users\moris\Desktop\New folder\MULTISMP

I don't have any pa4x files to test so far. Could be an incompatibility. Please send an example. PM me.

Amazing update. I dont know how you work your magic but it's really impressive Moss! Ive been putting some old sounds into omnisphere and i was wondering, do you ever plan on implementing sub layers? I see that it's not currently supported, but I saw that Keith Crosley had somehow made it happen. a lot of older formats use layers with separate -L and -R which could be cool.

Yes, I thought about it as well but since it is quite limited the mapping might be worse than this simple approach.

I could see that. what about an option to split multi-layer patches each to its own sample map? that way we could reconstruct the layering on the other side
