He accidentally heard the synth without compression, saturation and six affiliate links.
Rumble apparently modulates the lower jaw as well.
Such an underrated comment
Indeed. That said: I really like the 'features/concept' and UI layout, and thus far it sounds really good to my ears. Maybe not $99 good... but really 'interesting/fun' playing with and some serendipitous exploring, good. [2c]

It's a fun addition to Sonic Pass that I paid nothing extra for. I would never drop $99 on it or probably any money but as a free value add I can get some good things out of it

I've been wanting something bass-oriented that's a little more controllable than Beatsurfing LOW. This one might just be the ticket.

Lots to llke here, especially the three-band approach to shaping a sound. Dramatic changes to a sound are easy to achieve. And the sound is great. But:

I'm puzzled that there seems to be a limitation of just one sound effect per band.

And I'm having the disconcerting experience of watching my cursor disappear after making some adjustments--I have to drag the invisible thing off the gui in order to see it again, and then drag it back onto the gui to use it on another adjustment. (A mac problem? I'm using Logic on Tahoe 26.5 on an M3)

I can add modulators all right, but I don't see how to detach them once attached. That's a big problem.

The more I play with this thing, the less enthusiastic I feel. Needs work!

needs work for sure.
However, you can detach modulators by right-clicking. In the popup menu there is a lighter grey X which let you remove the mod from the parameter

The unfortunate reality is that it draws attention. I see it on my channel. It is measurable.

It can draw attention but you don't have to respond. Anything with a click-bait headline or stupid shit like this gets completely ignored by me. If you have anything of substance to offer, you shouldn't need this kind of shit to get people in.

Anyway, I spent an hour or two with Rumble last night and I kind of like it. Lots of aggressive, modern sounds - neurobass, reeses, etc. - that I'd love to use but have no idea how to actually put into a song. The Analog filter is obviously a Ladder filter and the Variable filter is modelled on the SEM's, so it does "classic" stuff well enough, too. I did a bit of preset tweaking but didn't really get too far into patching anything. Tonight I'll have a deeper dive into patching and see if I can't turn some of those sounds I like into sounds I can actually use.

I didn't experience any real issues. Patches can take a second to load and you can't use your arrow keys to move to the next/previous preset but those are things you mostly only notice when you're previewing a new instrument. If it was a $99 synth with a launch price of $70-$75, I'd probably just buy it but at the price they have given it, I'm not yet convinced and I only have 48 hours to make up my mind, which I think puts UVI at a disadvantage.

That ^^^ annnd, I refuse to click on any video that has/uses that stupid 'O' face. Whatever it may be, it is not worth encouraging that insipid behavior, by giving it a play.

OK, 15 minutes playing around with the default patch and I am totally sold. It is so stupidly easy to make interesting, characterful bass patches. In 5 minutes I had something really punchy going and playing around with some of the less obvious features for a few more minutes, I could have saved out half-a-dozen variations on it that all had their own character.

It's really good.

Venus Theory's Tips & Tricks video is possibly worth watching if you're interested -

Thanks! I find that on Mac, option-click does detach modulators.
