Sorry, I meant my own upcoming expansionmcbpete wrote: Wed Jun 10, 2026 1:52 pm Apologies when you mentioned 'an upcoming BEAM expansion' I was thinking you were previewing a new 'module'/effect being added to the Beam plugin

There is a bug (on Mac in Logic 12.2.): when using several instances of BEAM in a project with tempo-synced LFOs which have RANDOM engaged (which should only affect their modulation depth, not speed), the modulation is all over the place with very fast and jittery modulation happening, if only one instance of BEAM is used in a project that phenomena does not occur.

Feature request which will probably go unheard: the LFOs all have some kind of smoothing going on, even with SMOOTH set to 0% - when creating gate sequences assigned to amplitude, filter cutoff, distortion amount and so forth with ramp-shaped envelope segments this results in not so groovy - because smoothened - sonic results, maybe add the option to get rid of the smoothing altogether pretty please?

I’ve been able to reproduce the same behavior on a MBP with an M3 Max processor, and Logic Pro 12.2. I haven’t had a chance to check out the VST in Ableton Live yet.Sampleconstruct wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2026 1:06 pm There is a bug (on Mac in Logic 12.2.): when using several instances of BEAM in a project with tempo-synced LFOs which have RANDOM engaged (which should only affect their modulation depth, not speed), the modulation is all over the place with very fast and jittery modulation happening, if only one instance of BEAM is used in a project that phenomena does not occur.
But I would expect the same results. Thanks for making me aware of the problem Simon. It’s a good way to stress test a plugin, so I’ll remember that.

Thanks for confirming, I'm also using an M3 Mac in the studio.morphex wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 7:35 pmI’ve been able to reproduce the same behavior on a MBP with an M3 Max processor, and Logic Pro 12.2. Another strange thing I noticed is that feedback levels in Portal differ when Logic DAW transport is running, so if you edit a patch and are satisfied with the FB levels and then start transport, feedback levels will explode and the audio will cut off, so edit your feedback levels with the DAW in play mode to avoid this unpleasant surprise.
