The fact that you need the last word to feel like a big boy is amazing. You claim you’re ignoring me, but your ego is too bruised to just walk away. I dare you to prove me wrong by not replying to this. (Spoiler: You can't).

OK, I'm going to get real here for a moment.IvyBirds wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 6:53 amFirst of all, get your demographics right. I’m Generation X but a boomermachinesworking wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 5:42 amSeafire Mk2 wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 5:07 am Imagine being in a dreary covers band that plays at weddings and thinking you are a high art musicianI'm just gonna say it, boomers with a touch of the tism need to figure that shit out and stop being such utter oblivious train wrecks.
Second, the irony of you crying about other people being 'oblivious train wrecks' while confidently dropping some of the most elitist, painfully ignorant garbage on this forum is staggering. You’re sitting there thinking you’re handing out hard truths, but you just look like an arrogant, try-hard gatekeeper who needs to log off and figure their own miserable life out. Imagine being this pressed over someone else's existence and opinion.
Because what’s my actual sin here? Posting on a forum dedicated to musicians about how much I love seeing people play live music. You’re entirely manufacturing a problem that doesn’t exist
So, you're "actual sin"? You do not seem capable of stating an opinion without acting like it's a fact. You don't ever seem interested in ending an argument with understanding, you just want to "win". Your opinions are wildly unpopular so you're not making any friends here yet you seem to think people are "elitist". This all points to either a personality disorder or a genetic variation like undiagnosed autism. In either case spending your time arguing with people online isn't going to help.
Absolutely no reason for unnecessary tension and stress, if everyone is "picking on you" then maybe you're not reacting to disagreements in a rational and empathetic way? You're not alone in this, there's an epidemic of men on forums about their crafts or hobbies, arguing like the other person is the living representative of all that is wrong with this world. Let's be real here this isn't your first dog and pony show, you're always fighting with people on this forum.
Now I'm not saying don't debate or argue with people, that's all fun and games sometimes, and I'm super guilty obviously of enjoying a heated "discussion", but here's the kicker, I will concede or agree with people if I'm wrong, just last week I had to apologize for not seeing a fix posted to an issue I was complaining about. I just don't think you're capable of nuance, you had sort of a point with live music VS backing tracks, but you couldn't concede anything so you pretzeled up your logic on it so hard people stopped arguing with you and started poking fun at you about it.
Like I said, I don't really enjoy discussions about peoples personalities, it's not helpful and adds nothing of value, but in your case you're acting like a victim here, but you're the one drawing all the heat. KVR isn't necessarily filled with rational unemotional people who never argue

The plugins are listed in the thread, but I know scrolling up is hard when you're busy typing out cringey wedding jokes. Thanks for letting everyone know you can't read, though.TechHaus wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 6:40 pmWhat plugins did you bring up in this thread, again?IvyBirds wrote: Mon Jun 15, 2026 6:58 am I talk about gear and plugins,, including ones that fly under the radar all the time—literally right here in this thread. However, we don't do the limbo—though watching you attempt the intellectual limbo to get under my skin is pretty entertaining. So thanks for that
Honestly, thank you so much for the laughs today. It’s not often people are generous enough to completely embarrass themselves just to provide some free entertainment to little old me. I genuinely appreciate the comedy hour you are providing, not just to me but to all of us.

Can you not see the difference between someone singing/playing a song live to a small group of people, than radio, TV or streaming playing a recording to millions of people?VOODOO U wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2026 4:58 pmOn one end there's complains about A.I. stealing from artists and on the other it's ok to play other artists works, get paid, and not pay a cent to the original songwriters of those works._leras wrote: Sat Jun 13, 2026 4:56 am In a world where live music is disappearing, how can you complain about a wedding musician earning a living.
Stopping people playing music in public cannot be good.

I’m not mad, I’m just amazed you thought that lame joke was a flex. You're like a toddler showing off a drawing that belongs on the fridge. Good job, buddy. So proud of you
Imagine being so desperate for a win that you have to convince yourself I'm 'mad' about a boomer-tier limbo joke. It’s genuinely hilarious how proud you are of that absolute swing-and-a-miss. Here’s your participation trophy for comedy, you tried your best
