I passed on the beta invite, AI tools are not overly of interest to me, looks cool though. :tu:

I really liked the design, and results I heard in the video reviews of Loundness Pro

The AI part is optional. You don't have to use it. But imho. it is like having an auto-adjustment feature that dynamically changes the Clipper vs Limiter parameteres based on the audio analysis that it performs before applying the dynamic clipping and limiting, making it very natural sounding, loud, and very transparent.

This won't be easily accomplished manually. and it is one of the features that imho. makes the design of this Limiter very attractive. and logically makes a lot of sense. It doesn't have a lot of parameters that need tweaking, if you want to use it manually with no AI, you can do that, but with AI, it is breeze to get great results.

I Purchased it at $74. the intro price. Reg. price is $150.

The auto adustment mode is THE thing with it to me.
I compared it today to my typical master bus stuff and I have to admit that this thing here overall gives cleaner results CONSISTENTLY.
Not sure if I really want it as I don't care TOO much about clean loudness.
But the idea of "just having it easily" is charming.

You can use it without the AI option, and make it less transparent if that's what you you want to achieve. That should be easy. getting a bit of distortion by over limiting, or hard clipping will give you less transparent results. I like the limiter to be very transparent to preseve the character of the original mix. The character is something I try to achieve in the mixing phase of a production, not the mastering phase.

:hihi: I see that your AI spelled the thread title …

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

tbh the reason it sounds so clean is probably just dynamic balance between the clipper and limiter based on the crest factor. doing that manually across verses and choruses without distortion or pumping is a massive pain. having it auto-adjust dynamically is actually a huge timesaver lmao

Yeah, I see. Having already a working system of getting things loud and rather pleasing sounding to my ears doesn't make me look for something else to do "color loud".
Always open to new stuff though.
I was really intrigued by David's video and the way he showed it off there.
Right now I don't see much benefit for what I am doing to separate mixing from mastering completely.
