Unfortunately I don´t have a solution for that either, but I am struggling with the same problem. For now I have decided to not waste any more time and instead wait for the Version 1.0 which should solve these issues.

In the meantime I save any interesting sounds as vst3 presets in the DAW and hope to be able to save them later in the upcoming version of SD-1.

May I ask you, if the original hardware also had such a rather huge latency from pressing a key until you hear the sound. Its especially notable, when playing fast sequences or chords. Even with the Buffer set to 128 its still much more "sluggish" than other vsti-plugins.

It is mentioned here so I wonder if this is kind of normal behaviour for the SD-1.

No, not as big as here was with 256. Now with 128 it’s quite similar. I can confirm hardware had latency and ALIASING. This last was main (mine) gripe. Now when I hear emulation I can say its sounds better because DA converters on Ensoniq sd1 was in mine opinion terrible.

Summarise: emulation is very great. Latency can be minimized to 64 I hope in the future. Even like right now I would buy it for 200 euros.

And we are waiting for emulation of Ensoniq DP-4 , and maybe ASR-10.

Did anyone have success yet using the new Preset/File Manager in version 1.0.0?
https://github.com/sojusrecords/Ensoniq ... n/releases

If so could you please post the steps how to do that?

I am just trying to save a renamed and edited preset and no matter how hard I try, there is no success.

Great! I'll add that to virtualsynthesizers.com. Good job!

Maybe my memory is bad but I don't remember the SD 1 being so noisy. The background noise is horrible on this thing. At least to me it's horrible. Now I don't know if, buried in the mix, you can't hear it. But isolated, it's quite noticeable.

Sorry, but what is the difference between this one and the new one from Cherry Audio?

Post

This one is free - but no ROM file included :) No ROM, no sound.

Post

cherry audio just models the DSP from scratch. this one runs the actual hardware ROM code, and it's free fr
