I'm here - my third time - and must answer an emphatic NO. It's like Disneyland, Christmas Day, and Mardi Gras (without the booze and the women) all at the same time - intense and exhausting. If you have better things to do, there's no big loss to *not* attending at all. You'll still find out about products that you're interested in - that's what KVR and like sites are for...

it's not open to the public
it's a trade show
i suppose one could gain some cred if one managed a relationship with an exhibitor to pull tickets
but us unwashed masses sit outside the gate, waiting for breaking news
and very much enjoying the photos and reports from the insiders
