Here is a rather difficult source from Omnisphere with quite sharp transients and lots of high frequency content. Listen to how well Iron Glass deals with the transients and how naturally the image becomes slightly "3D" with some gentle shelves taking care of the 2 to 4kHz region and then compensating that loss with some air.

High quality 48kHz 24bit renders.. so download and switch back and forth in your DAW for best listening experience.

Hangdrum Glissando, original audio source (24bit 48kHz .wav, 4.6mb, Google Drive)

Hangdrum Glissando, Iron Glass EQ doing it's thing (24bit 48kHz .wav, 4.6mb, Google Drive)
This is a really cool example of what Iron Glass is capable of. I would never refer to my own plugin as sounding 3D, but...

yeah it is almost like the original is a recording and the eq'ed version is here in the room with me.. very interesting.

Well, it is alive! Checked of course the Disc Doc.. wait, wrong time, Plugin Doctor and its alive I tell you!
It has now joined the ranks of rare plugins with a living signal with Silver Bullet and Lacuna (at least those two).

Sounds really good, boosting bass and highshelf with both tube and iron on gives a bit of that extra I wish I had 3 weeks ago lol. Going to the "list of plugins to buy".

Do you plan to add paypal as a payment option?

It is definitely resource intensive! I made optimizations where I could, but didn’t want to make any sacrifices to sound quality. It works well on my newer Ryzen and M2 cpus, but I can totally see it struggling on slightly older processors.

My payment processor doesn’t accept PayPal, but I’m investigating switching because I’ve realized in the last 24 hours adding it would would be good for business. May not be ready in the next couple weeks, but I am looking into it.

These days it is the question that I ask if this new shiny thing (thanx bManic!) does anything that I can't do otherwise but definitely desire.
So the inevitable comparisson sessions started.
SlickEQ, sounds great and does quite some things, benchmark for starters.
Iron Glass:
I can't make anything sound BAD with it, very good. So I can't mess things up by just using it.
The Tube and Iron is where it starts to get really interesting.
I don't have anything like these and they sound really good.
Where I noticed the biggest impact that makes me wonder is the bass and low mids.
Not sure yet if I really "need" that nice what I am hearing (also the highs are smooth as few things) but I will keep on trying to convince myself to not want "yet another EQ".

I’ve been trying hard to not hype up the sound with audio marketing jargon, and let people decide for themselves how it sounds. I think the quality and what’s happening here speaks for itself.

Thanks to everyone who has purchased and tried out Iron Glass so far! The launch has really gone beyond my expectations. I have a few updates for the plugin as well as my business model I’d like to share as well.

Firstly, I’m working on v1.1 and already have a few features implemented the community requested including +/- 24dB of gain on input and output, shift click gain link, more LPF and HPF settings, and the ability to type in values for gain and frequency.

As far as the business goes, I’m shifting to allow refunds for 14 days and license transfers. I think both of these are the right call and are aligned with my attempt to be as consumer focused as possible. I’m also looking into switching my payment processor to allow for PayPal payments. I got quite a few users asking for it, so I will work over the next few weeks to make that happen.

And lastly, I already have a couple more plugins I’m working on and also have an idea for larger project/collaboration that I don’t believe anyone has attempted before so look out for more products from me!

There have been so many great plugin releases this year already. I've been ramping up my 'character' devices and mastering units lately and this one scratches both of those itches. But when I first saw this I was like "I don't need another EQ". Then I tried it. Then $50 disappeared from my bank account. Maaaaan.... such a great EQ.

Leckel, did I see in your GS profile that you're an Ohio guy? Makin' me proud!

Will there be sales that take the price back to intro price at some point? Can't buy it right now but will definitely get it later.

I plan to be very conservative with how often I do sales. So while I will probably bring it back down to $50 at some point, it won’t be anytime soon.

Bought. It's indeed fantastic! Love it
