Who are your musical influences?

Hey!

I'm interested in everyone's musical influences (a.k.a. artists who inspired you to make music in the first place)

I'll share mine: my biggest influences are Daft Punk, Calvin Harris and Madeon.

many many songwriters had an effect on me
they turned me into a wannabe songwriter
i was impressed by how they made words and melodies and everything else work together
and how their songs affected me
i can't imagine living a life without songs

anyways, the songwriter that had the most and long-lasting effect on me is david bowie
it only takes 3 songs to make a fan of me of any band
and david bowie has like 50 or more

i used to have many "greatest hits" cds from different bands
one day, i was listening to a david bowie greatest hits cd
it was called "fame and fashion"
at some point while listening to that cd, it dawned on me that...
all the songs in that cd were different
and not only different compared to other songwriters's songs...
but very different compared to the other david bowie songs in that cd
well, different to me at least

so david bowie's long lasting influence on me is...
make many many many songs that don't resemble each other

the problem is...
to me, making just even one decent song is incredibly hard
and david bowie made so many decent and different songs
to my ears, at least

i couldn't find the full cd playlist at youtube
so, here are the songs seperately then
